On Sunday, as part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the city of Belladère by President Dumarsais Estimé [August 1946 to May 1950], Prime Minister Jean Henry Céant made a follow-up visit to the state of progress of the rehabilitation works of the old public buildings of the city.

The Head of Government reiterated the promises made, last March, by the President of the Republic, to honor the memory of the visionary Dumarsais Estimé by continuing his work of modernization of border towns.

Thus the Belladerois will be proud of the renovation of the administrative complex where will be housed the communal offices of Agriculture, Public Works and the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI).

In addition, the city will be equipped with newly rehabilitated premises such as the buildings of the Departmental Vice-Delegation, the National Bank of Credit (BNC), the Court of Peace, the Club Hotel and the Town Hall.

In addition, Prime Minister Céant welcomed the ongoing construction work, of a boulevard 34 meters wide by 5 km long bearing the name of the President Estimé, to make the city more attractive and less congest.

Finally, as part of the deconcentration policy, the Céant administration announced that a substantial portion of the local taxes will be allocated to the continuation of the major modernization works of the city of Belladère
