Haiti - Chile : Exasperated Haitians demonstrate in front of the Embassy of Haiti in Santiago

On Monday, a group of exasperated Haitians demonstrated outside the Haitian Embassy in Santiago, Chile. The demonstrators explain that they have been waiting for more than 8 months for their certificate of antecedent, demanded by the Chilean government to regularize their migratory status, underlining that they paid 25 dollars to the Embassy of Haiti for this document and 90 dollars to the Chilean Ministry of the Interior.

The Embassy told them that they had sent this information to the Ministry of the Interior, but the protesters say that the Chilean Government continues to ask them for this document, which they do not seem to have received...

More than 45,000 Haitians in Chile are banned from working in Chile, without this certificate they can not get to regularize.
