It is on August 1 that the Royal Decameron Indigo Beach Resort, the first all-inclusive tourist complex in Haiti, located on the Côte des Arcadins in the commune of Montrouis (West Dept.), will reopen its doors which had closed on 16 last April, to prevent and limit the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus.

With this reopening, hundreds of employees and suppliers will find business and as many customers are expected with the health measures specially implemented following the Covid epidemic19 which is raging in Haiti. In the current international situation limiting travel outside the country, many vacationers will be able to organize their projects within the borders.

Faced with the health situation, the Royal Decameron offers a health and safety protocol which comes under the label of "Decameron Health Inclusive" and which provides :

• Taking the temperature;

• The culture of hygiene and hand washing;

• Physical distancing;

• Systematic and regular cleaning and disinfection;

• Personal protective equipment.

"When we reopen our doors, we will be ready to offer a revisited service, designed to offer unique and memorable experiences to our customers; designed to provide the health and safety care that the needs of the day demand of us, " said Fabio Villegas, President of Decameron.

Regarding reservations, the Decameron group has established a more flexible modification policy for all of 2020. The Reservation Center does not charge any penalty for postponing plans for 2020. In addition, during the first three months after opening, the Royal Decameron will offer free access from 10:30 a.m. instead of 3:00 p.m., or 4 and a half hours more, including all unlimited services and facilities.

An announcement that has a strong impact on the local economy, particularly in the Montrouis area, from which the majority of the 500 normally active employees come. Jobs and purchases that support tens of thousands of people in the area and local suppliers.

Despite the difficult times, the whole team is ready to welcome summer vacationers. "Despite the reduced booking standard hours (8:00 am - 2:00 pm) and although the Pétionville office does not reopen until mid-July, we already have reservations for weddings by the end of the year," says Brice Dumanois, marketing manager of the tourist complex.

Recall that the Royal Decameron is the first all-inclusive tourist complex in Haiti that has successfully repositioned Haiti on the international market as a tourist destination. Located in a 55 hectare natural park, Decameron offers unique services: 1.5 km of beach, 400 hotel rooms, two swimming pools, a spa, a marina, 3 restaurants including 2 à la carte, capable of serving at the same time time 460 people.
