Haiti - Scholarships : Call for applications, Anténor Firmin doctoral mobility program

The Embassy of France in Haiti, the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie in the Caribbean (AUF) and the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) are launching the second edition of the Anténor Firmin program, intended to support doctoral mobility, strengthening thus training in research and scientific cooperation. From this year, the Research Institute for Development (IRD) has decided to be a partner of the doctoral mobility program.

To apply for the Anténor Firmin doctoral mobility program, the doctoral student must be registered in co-supervision or in co-supervision both in a university in Haiti and in a host university (in France or elsewhere), both members of the AUF.

The laureates will carry out their thesis alternately between these two establishments for a period of three years, according to a schedule defined in agreement with their thesis co-supervisors. The Anténor Firmin program will cover research stays abroad, which may last up to six months per academic year.

The Research Institute for Development is partnering with the Anténor Firmin program by offering additional funding for two laureates with regard to the quality of the dossier and the research subject selected IRD funding will cover the period during which the doctoral student (th), during his thesis, is in Haiti. The IRD funding period cannot exceed 6 months / year. Applicants do not have any additional files to produce; they are informed of the IRD's decision as soon as possible.

Eligibility criteria :

Be of Haitian nationality and reside in Haiti;

Hold a master's degree (M2) at least or equivalent at the end of a training course conferring research skills;
