Less than a month before the start of the school year (September 6, 2021), the Ministry of National Education reminds to the attention of the public in general and the educational community in particular, that in accordance with the ministerial circular of August 11, 2017, the school contribution fees are set at one thousand (1,000) gourdes in public schools for the 3rd cycle of fundamental and secondary.

This amount must be used to cover a set of services including in particular the maintenance costs (painting, cleaning) for the school, the repair of benches, the making of brochures, the purchase of sheets for the evaluation periods provided for in the school calendar and other similar educational activities.

No public school official is authorized to claim additional costs. Any offender will be severely sanctioned according to the regulations in force and the Laws of the Republic.

In addition, the Ministry takes the opportunity to remind that school contribution fees are prohibited for the 1st and 2nd cycles of fundamental (from the 1st to the 6th year). The State will fully assume the support and will give an amount of four hundred (400.00) gourdes per child.
