Haiti - NOTICE : Cap-Haitien, takes strict measures for waste management

The Cap-Haitien Communal Administration Council, made up of Yvrose PIERRE President of the Municipal Commission and his deputy advisers, Esaïe LeFranc and Patrick Almonor, informs that after deliberation, the Council publishes a municipal decree to deal with the issue of waste at the level of the Municipality of Cap-Haitien.

This municipal decree concerns household waste, bulky household waste, waste produced by traders, craftsmen and industrialists, waste from the cleaning of markets and public spaces in the municipality as well as the management of wastewater and the emptying of a ditch or any reservoir.

The decree contains provisions which are applicable to both households, commercial enterprises and specialized enterprises.

In addition to clear explanations of the rights and duties of all concerned, this decree also provides for severe penalties for all those who do not respect the terms of this decree.
