PNH : kidnapping foiled, 3 dead

Wednesday Police foiled a kidnapping attempt on Rue des Casernes in downtown Port-au-Prince. At least 3 suspected heavily armed kidnappers were killed in intense firefights with law enforcement.

NOTICE French Guiana Consulate : 1,000 passports have arrived

Les Cayes : Drone Pilot Training

Students from the "American University of the Caribbean" in Les Cayes received training in drone piloting and Geographic Information System (GIS). This is the latest step in the training series initiated by the "Ayiti Blue Ocean Plastics Solution" project which aims to reduce ocean pollution through recycling by using drones and GIS to monitor plastic waste invading the coasts.

2 new Customs Directors

Thursday, March 16 Rémy Luders was appointed as the new Director of the Port-au-Prince airport customs office and Ferland Samedi was appointed as the new Director of the Port-au-Prince customs office announced Romel Bel , Director General of the General Administration of Customs (AGD).

Exhibition at the Art Center

As part of the Quinzaine de la Francophonie 2022, around 20 artists from the École Nationale des Arts are exhibiting their works at the Center d'Art, in Ruelle Roy.
