With a view to making life easier for citizens, the work of the Ministry of Public Works, cleaning, rehabilitation of sections of road, repair of pavement and cleaning of canals, continues in the metropolitan area of Port au Prince.

The Ministry, aware among other things of the poor state of our roads and despite the precariousness of its means, does not intend to shirk its mission. Its teams are working tirelessly while waiting to be able to extend this work throughout the national territory.

Works in progress :

• Construction of sidewalks, reinforcement slabs and laying of concrete on the roadway at Avenue N;

• Crevasses with reprofiling contribution on National Road #1;

• Cleaning work and removal of rubble on National Road #2 at Fontamara 29, at Lamantin 54 and on Boulevard Harry Truman, Bicentennial area;

• Gutter rectification works in the extended rue Mgr Guilloux;

• Dredging of the Step Over canal on the crossroads road as well as at Toussaint Louverture airport;

• Mechanical cleaning of the Saint Georges canal in Cité Soleil, Bois-Neuf area and in Cité de l'Eternel.
