The car of a CNDD member riddled with bullets

Tuesday the vehicle in which was Jean Rebel Dorcénat, member of the National Commission for Disarmament, Dismantling (CNDD) and reintegration and his chauffeur was the target of armed individuals. His vehicle was hit by several bullets but he and his driver are safe and sound.

the CFI soon to international standards

The Investment Facilitation Center (CFI) benefits from the technical assistance of the Consortium DMI, Business France and Interconsultants. The group met with a few institutions from the public and private sectors, in order to provide an overview of the business ecosystem in Haiti. This support will extend over 3 years, and will allow the CFI to become an investment promotion agency of international standard, in order to better attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDI).

Zero gender-based violence

Emmelie Prophète-Milcé, the Minister of Communication participated in the Kinam I hotel, in Pétion-ville at the beginning of the week in an advocacy lunch organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in partnership with the Ministry for Status of Women and Women's Rights (MCFDF). A high-level strategic dialogue on zero gender-based violence for journalistic productions in the fight against violence against women and girls.

The Art Center and school children

The Art Center is pleased to have welcomed students from the Lycée des Jeunes Filles (Lycée du Cent-Cinquantenaire) to its premises on the occasion of the "Discovery Day" in April 2022. Moise Jean and Thamar Prunier, the two mediators of the Day, put them in relation with the voodoo works selected for the occasion. The administration of the Art Center is committed to transmitting the rich Haitian cultural heritage to schoolchildren, especially girls. She devotes 3 hours of time during the "Discovery Day" to school mediation.

Intellectual Property Week

Second day of conference as part of Intellectual Property Week: Me Christian de Lespinasse discussed intellectual property rights : An under-exploited commercial asset. Me Johanny Stanley Josepha's intervention focused on patent rights and the need to amend the centenary law and Me Abder-Razak spoke on the memorandum of understanding signed last February between the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of Haiti and the Haitian Copyright Office, on the settlement of intellectual property disputes and the need for the amendment of the centenary law.
