On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, around 7:40 a.m., a flight chartered by Bahamasair took off from New Providence for Port-au-Prince, Haiti with 62 Haitians on board (46 men, 12 women and 4 minors).

Celebration of the 219th anniversary of the flag

Cuba:

Wednesday, May 18, 2022, the 219th anniversary of the celebration of the Haitian flag and the University, the Embassy of Haiti in Cuba called on all Haitians to unite behind the symbol and motto of the flag. This year, the Embassy organized a flag raising by inviting two panelists, Jean Yvon Virgil and Guiteau Edouard, to meet with the Haitian student community with the aim of strengthening it and advising it on its future.

Ministry of Tourism:

Wednesday, May 18, as part of the 219th anniversary of the Haitian bicolor, the North Regional Office of the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the North Destination Management Organization of Haiti organized several activities on the place d'armes of Cap -Haïtien including: puzzle contest, exhibition of flags since 1804, graffiti and portraits of certain independence heroes, slam and dance troupe.

Ministry of Youth:

Raymonde Rival, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Education mobilized more than 500 young people from the 10 departments to animate the parade for the celebration of the 219th anniversary of the creation of the national bicolor in Arcahaie. Minister Rival invited every Haitian to draw inspiration from the symbolism of the flag to work for national unity.
