At the end of the 43rd Meeting of Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), announced that it would send a delegation to support Haiti (member of CARICOM) in the grip of violence and the instability and called for the renewal of the mandate of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH).

"Continued support must be there for Haiti and there will be a Caricom mission to assist in the process of reconciliation and reconstruction in Haiti," declared the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bahamas, Fred Mitchell recalling "Haiti is facing serious problems socio-economic and political; especially after the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse on July 7, 2021 [...] Haiti has paid a very bitter price from those who have imposed so many burdens on this society that it has not had an honest opportunity to develop. It is up to Caricom to continue to be an ardent defender of Haiti in the international space."
