Les Cayes : Strike followed

Monday August 1st, 2022, following the call for a strike launched by unions of public transport drivers for August 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2022, to denounce the persistence of the scarcity of gasoline in service stations a been followed. Several roads in the city of Les Cayes were completely paralyzed. No access either at the level of Cavaillon on the national road number 2 as well as the road leading to the south coast of Haiti (at the level of Torbeck).

India : 44th Chess Olympiad

UNICEF : 950,000 liters of drinking water distributed

Since July 20, UNICEF has delivered nearly 950,000 liters of drinking water, able to meet the urgent needs of 16,000 people per day for a week and 500 hygiene kits to serve 2,500 people in Cité Soleil.

PAHO/WHO Support

The Pan-American Health Organization and the World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in support of the Directorate of Epidemiology, Laboratory and Research (DELR) organized a workshop for the dissemination of the official document framing the implementation implementation of Community-Based Epidemiological Surveillance (SEBAC) whose objective is to contribute to reducing the negative impact of health-related events in the communities by setting up an early community warning system, the systematic and continuous collection of data, their analysis and the production of health information at the local level for decision-making.

Summer School of Tourism/B>

About fifteen young people and professionals from various backgrounds took part in the first edition of the Summer School of Tourism in Haiti organized by Sco Tour Haiti (STH) around the theme "Tourism and Local Culture in Haiti", this initiative was carried out with the participation of professionals from the tourism sector in Haiti.
