On Thursday, residents of the lower Artibonite blocked the RN#1, particularly at Carrefour Paye and Villard, to demand the dismantling of the Savien and Palmiste gangs and fuel at gas stations.

Demonstration : Complaint filed with the P-a-P Public Prosecutor's Office

Tuesday, August 30, 2022, a complaint was filed at the Port-au-Prince prosecutor's office against the perpetrators and co-perpetrators of acts of police brutality which caused the death of at least one demonstrator and left several wounded by bullets during the last demonstrations in Port-au-Prince. Me Iswick Théophin points the finger at Prime Minister Ariel Henry who, according to him, would have ordered the police to use violence to repress these demonstrations aimed at demanding better living conditions.
