On Monday, motorcycle taxi drivers in Lalue and Delmas in particular demonstrated to protest against the price adjustment of petroleum products announced by Prime Minister Henry. The protesters erected barricades of burning tires on the Delmas highway and blocked traffic.

2 people kidnapped aboard a rowboat

Friday, September 9 in the evening, armed individuals kidnapped two people aboard a boat in the bay of Port-au-Prince. They would be two employees of a private company operating the Port of the National Port Authority.

Suicide a tragedy in Haiti

The Mental Health Unit of the Ministry of Public Health marked, this Saturday, September 10, 2022, World Suicide Prevention Day by drawing attention to the magnitude of this tragedy in Haiti. Zero preventable maternal deaths in humanitarian situations thanks to the "hospitainer" (container hospital) offered by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Dr. Max Dervil of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Medical Director Dr. Sonel Févry successfully performed the first caesarean in the hospital located in Azile (155.2 km from Port-au-Prince). The newborn and the mother are doing well. Congratulations to the team and thank you to UNFPA and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
