All diplomatic entities of highly concerned

The Embassies in Haiti of Germany, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Spain, the United States, France, Japan, Mexico, Switzerland and Taiwan; the representations of the European Union, the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS) are highly concerned by the blocking of Terminal Varreux as well as its humanitarian impact, in particular the resurgence of cholera, and call for an immediate humanitarian truce to allow the release of fuel for urgent needs.

Popular justice : 3 bandits killed

On the night of October 2nd to 3rd, Eric Prophet, alleged gang leader of Croix-Saint-Joseph in Port-de-Paix, was lynched. Two other bandits Mackenson and Mme Lemoine thus known were also killed.

Les Cayes : More than 90 people arrested

Pierre Yves Lesage, Spokesperson for the National Police of Haiti (PNH) in the South Department, informed that more than 90 people were arrested in connection with anti-government protests in the city of Les Cayes. They are accused of theft, looting, attempted arson, disturbing public order and throwing stones at police officers.

Grand’Anse : Empowering dozens of women

More than 600 families will benefit from new houses

Jean D’Amérique Winner of the 2022 Jacques-Scherer Literary Prize
