The DG of ONAPE released against ransom

Saturday, October 15 Hervé Boursiquot, the Director General of the National Office for Partnership in Education (ONAPE), kidnapped on September 25 on the Route de Frères https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37750-haiti-news-zapping.html was released by his captors against ransom.

The pm Satisfied with the first batch of equipment for the PNH

Health Update for Minister Larsen

The Embassy of Haiti in France wishes to reassure all those who have been concerned about the state of health of Dr. Alex Larsen, Minister of Public Health visiting France, whom Dr. Larsen spoke by phone to the Ambassador of Haiti in Paris Josué Dahomey to confirm to him that he was doing very well and intended as planned, to participate soon in a meeting of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Germany.

Training : Cholera prevention and surveillance

Saturday, October 15, 250 multipurpose community health workers (ASCP) were trained by the West Health District and by the World Health Organization (WHO - Haiti) on the prevention and monitoring of Cholera. To support the work of the ASCPs that will be deployed in the field, UNICEF provided buckets, soap, Aquatab tablets and HTH chlorine for distribution in the community during awareness sessions.

80 women trained in commercial cooking and baking

As part of the cooperation between the Government of Haiti and the Embassy of Taiwan (Republic of China) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36717-haiti-taiwan-$26m-for-an-economic-recovery-and-women-s-empowerment-project-in-haiti.html through the International Higher Education Scholarship Programs (ICDF), for economic recovery and women's empowerment in Haiti, 80 participants at the end of a two-week technical professional training in commercial cooking and pastry, received their certificate of perfect completion of training.
