Ouanaminthe Center Médico-Social : Reinforcement of staff

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in support of the Ministry of Public Health has strengthened the capacity of staff at the Center Médico-Social de Ouanaminthe (CMSO) in the multidisciplinary and integrated care of women victims of violence and the psychological first aid. About twenty providers (Doctors, Midwives and Nurses) participated in this 5-day training as part of the "Project to strengthen the Maternal Health Package in 3 border departments in the context of Covid-19."

Insecurity : Taiwan alongside Haiti

"The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has sent community officers to the sites hosting displaced people. The latter accompany the women in the steps for medical and psychosocial support. These officers also supervise them in childbirth and other maternal and neonatal health care efforts," explained Dr. Zalha Assoumana, Deputy Representative of UNFPA in Haiti.
