Mystery meeting between the PM and the US Department of Defense

Monday, December 12, 2022 in the afternoon, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry, met with a high-level delegation from the United States Department of Defense led by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Daniel Erikson. No information has filtered on the purpose of this meeting and the American Embassy has made no comment on this mission.

A policewoman killed

Sunday, December 11 in Clercine 2, in the town of Tabarre, the policewoman Nadège Joseph (30th promotion) and her husband, the policeman Bellume Johny (27th promotion) were the target of fire from individuals traveling on motorcycles. During the attack Nadège Joseph was killed and her husband injured. Information confirmed by Lionel Lazarre, Coordinator of the National Union of Haitian Police Officers.

Santiague Valcin, alias "Santo", 33 years old, was arrested by the police in the town of Hinche, for attempted murder, assault, followed by injuries to the person of Daniel Genty (45 years old)
