Port-de-Paix : Death of the Dean of the TPI

The Communication Office of the Municipality of Port-de-Paix expresses its deep regret at the death of the dean of the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Port-de-Paix, Me Louis Marie Yves Périclès, on December 22. Me Périclès has always believed in good justice in the commune and he has always decided to accompany the population as he can in matters of justice. On behalf of Mayor Josué Alusma and all the staff of the town hall, we express our sympathy to the members of the family, friends, loved ones and members of the civil court of Port-de-Paix who are affected by this mourning.

Santiago DR : 1,200 passports have arrived

The Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago in the Dominican Republic, informs the general public and particularly the Haitian community in the Cibao region, that a new stock of 1,200 passports has arrived and are available for delivery. Thus, all those who had submitted their document from March and April 2022 are asked to come and claim them in order to move forward with the immigration regularization process. France supports the "principle" of an intervention

The Ambassador of France in Haiti Fabrice Mauriès indicates that his country supports the principle of the idea of a foreign intervention in Haiti stressing that France could provide material support and be part of the General Staff in the event of implementation of an intervention.

"Slam Awards International" 2 Haitians nominated

During the 2022 edition of the poetry-slam competition in Mali "Slam Awards International", two Haitians were nominated: Peterson Dorsainvil, nominated in the "Best Journalist" category for his articles on the promotion of slam and the slammer Nervno Fils de Plume, nominated in the category "Best Slammer Artist 2022".
