The PNH ready to collaborate with an international force

Frantz Elbé, the Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) declared that the police institution is ready to collaborate with any multinational intervention force in the country to restore security in Haiti.

Contraband, cigarettes and flour seized

The Specialized Land Border Security Corps (CESFRONT) arrested three Haitians who were in a reported stolen truck. In addition, CESFRONT soldiers also seized 300 cartons of 10 packs of Capital brand cigarettes from Haiti, and another Haitian with 50 bags of flour who was trying to smuggle this merchandise into Haiti, while the export of flour has been temporarily banned by the Dominican Republic.

5th Edition of the "Soupe Liberté"

The 5th edition of the traditional "Soupe Liberté" will be held on January 1st, 2023 in Port-au-Prince and in several provincial towns. The objective, according to the organizers, is to promote a spirit of solidarity and the feeling of living together in the population like our ancestors.

Justice : New Dean at the TPI of Port-de-Paix

The Superior Council of the Judicial Police (CSPJ) has appointed Judge Ernest Kepler Desravines as the new Acting Dean of the Court of First Instance of Port-de-Paix. He replaces Judge Louis Marie Yves Périclès, who died on December 22, 2022.

Prison of Gonaïves affected by cholera

Wednesday, December 28, the Government Commissioner of Gonaïves announced that several cases of cholera have been detected in the prison of Gonaïves, and that a health cell had been set up to take care of the sick, while waiting to be able to transfer them to the La Providence hospital center.
