Budget 2022-2023 : Social, 11.4% of total budget

In the 2022-2023 budget, the budgetary appropriations allocated to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST) amount to 30.6 billion gourdes (11.6% of the budget ahead of Education (11.2%) and justice (10.8%). Kidnapping of foreigners up 39.6% in 2022

According to the Crime Observation Unit of the Center for Analysis and Research in Human Rights, for the year 2022, at least 74 foreigners were abducted compared to 53 in 2021, which represents an increase of 39.62 %.
