Saturday, February 11 took place ceremony of investiture of new technical managers chaired by Nesmy Manigat Minister of National Education, in the presence of Jacques Abraham Director of Cabinet of the Minister; the Director General of the National Office for Partnership in Education (ONAPE), Dr. Hervé Boursiquot, Pole Coordinators, several technical directors, ten departmental directors of education, Ministry officials, parents and friends of these promoted technicians.

List of people promoted :

Jean Wilnor Pierre, promoted to General Coordinator of the Departmental Directorates of Education (DDE), previously Coordinator of the Ministry Support Unit;

Renan Michel will now coordinate the Support Unit while still being in charge of the National Office for State Examinations (BUNEXE);

Jean Judson Joseph, promoted to the Directorate of Higher Education and Scientific Research (DESRS), previously head of the Directorate of Planning and External Cooperation (DPCE);

Jean Joseph promoted to the School Health Department (DSS) where he will deal with artistic, cultural and sports issues, previously Deputy Coordinator at the Human Resources Department (DRH);

Marjorie Denis promoted to the School Health Department (DSS), previously to the Preschool Education Management Office (BUGEP);

Sherly Tanis Cator promoted to Director of Educational Radio-Television (RTE) previously technician at RTE.

"I think that the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training is today at a critical moment in terms of emergency management. Some are invariant. But, there are others which are linked to the situation or which are derived from the Ministry's transformation actions, and which refer us to the need to reengineer the machine [...] It is high time that the science plays its part. It is time for science to regain its rights in this country," said Minister Manigat, who said he was counting on the competence, experience and ability of these technicians to carry out their respective missions and urged those promoted to show courage and selflessness in their new role.
