On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, Acting Prime Minister Dr. Ariel Henry, at the head of the Haitian delegation participating, on February 15 and 16, in the 44th meeting of Heads of State and Government, in Nassau, Bahamas, had to his arrival in the morning an important working session with Brian A. Nichols, the Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs of the United States.

Brian A. Nichols noted the substantial progress that constitutes the installation of the High Council of the Transition, after being informed of the first working sessions that the high advisers have already had with Prime Minister Henry.

Nichols renewed his confidence in the progress that will be made in the perspective of democratic, free, honest and transparent elections to which the Head of Government is firmly attached.

The Prime Minister and the Deputy Secretary of State discussed at length the prevailing insecurity in Haiti and the need for an early resolution to the crisis. On this point nothing filtered me from what was said between the two men...
