The Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) has implemented a program of hygiene awareness in 41 schools. This program include information on cholera, general hygiene practices, and training to water treatment. 10,000 children in total will benefit from awareness sessions until the end of the campaigns, as part of the cholera prevention consolidation project on the banks of the Artibonite River.

Despite the informations that "want to be reassuring", of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) regarding the decline in cholera cases, the ACTED is preparing for a new surge of cholera in Haiti because of the rainy season.
