Haiti - Politic : Ariel Henry appoints members of the CSS and CAOSS

In two Orders published in the official newspaper Le Moniteur, in special issue #5 published on Tuesday January 23, 2024, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry proceeded to the appointment of the 9 members of the Higher Salary Council (CSS) and those of the Council of Administration of Social Security Bodies (CAOSS).

CSS:

The CSS is made up of representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST), the employers' sector, and workers. "The citizens whose names follow are appointed to form the Superior Council of Salaries:

MAST representatives:

Guerline Jean Louis; Jean Nerva Siméon, Jhon Jerry Constant,

Representatives of the Employer sector:

Price Ciprien; Rotcheeld Skylight; Pierre Julcin,

Representatives of the workers sector:

Prince James; Mackenson Desardoin; Pierre Joseph Policarpe »

Let's remember that the CSS meets three months before the end of each fiscal year to set the minimum salary for staff in different sectors, taking into account internationally accepted standards based on macroeconomic indices.

Note that the minimum wage in Haiti has not been revised for 2 years.

Ariel Henry also appointed the members of the Board of Directors of the Social Security Bodies (CAOSS) "The citizens whose names follow are appointed to form the Board of Directors of the Social Security Bodies:

Government representatives:

Rudy Hériveaux, Wilson Paulémond and Michèle Navar as;

Employee representatives:

Marc Dorvil, Laimond Jean Paul and Jacques Belzin

Employers’ representatives:

Yvette Edouard Augustin, Rose Midrène François and Tom Adamson."

Let's remember that the CAOSS is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST) and has the mandate to guide and control the management and development of social security bodies. It is established to strengthen the structures and strategic management of social security institutions such as ONA and OFATMA.
