In a video the new United States Ambassador Dennis Hankins (65), ratified in the American Senate on March 14, 2024, returns to Haiti after 30 years of absence "with great pride and humility."

He said he was happy to have attended the installation ceremony of the Presidential Transitional Council, which according to him represents "a big step forward for Haiti".

He assures that the United States is "at Haiti's side during these trials" that they will support "all Haitians who work for a better future for their country."
