Haiti - Politic : First Council of Ministers with the CPT

On Wednesday May 8, 2024, the members of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) held their first Council of Ministers with the outgoing Government at the Villa d'Acceuil. This Council of Ministers, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, was chaired by Edgard Leblanc Fils, rotating President of the CPT.

Among the decisions adopted : the state of emergency was renewed; the mandates of the members of the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Litigation (CSC/CA) which ended Tuesday, May 7 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-42290-haiti-news-zapping.html were renewed until their replacement and the appointment of Ricardin Saint-Jean, Minister of Commerce as Acting Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities to replace Ariel Henry who resigned.
