Transition PM final straight line

This Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) will meet individually and privately at the Villa d’Accueil, the five finalist candidates (the most likely) Fritz Bélizaire, Gary Conille, Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé, Didier Fils- Aimé and Rodolphe Joazil,. At the end of these hearings, 3 candidates will be selected and following a favorable vote of at least 5 out of 7 advisors, the name of the next Prime Minister should be announced.

Clerks : Truce after 5 months of strike

The National Association of Haitian Court Clerks (ANAGH) observes a truce in the strike resumed since December 12, 2023 (more than 5 months) in the courts of the 18 jurisdictions of the country https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-41201-haiti-news-zapping.html . 88 new doctors

Haiti at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

According to Dr Hans Larsen President of the Haitian Olympic Committee we should have at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, perhaps around ten Haitian athletes [there are still qualifications in progress] : athletics, boxing, gymnastics, judo, swimming, taekwondo and tennis. Let's remember that Haiti in 17 Summer Olympic participations has only won 2 medals (team shooting in 1924 in Paris and silver in 1928 in Amsterdam (Netherlands) by Sylvio Cator in long jump.

Diphtheria Vaccination : WHO supports the Ministry of Health

The World Health Organization (WHO) supports the Ministry of Public Health and Population in the launch of a vaccination campaign against Diphtheria in the departments of Artibonite, Center, Grande-Anse, Nippes, North, North-East, South, South-East from May 20 to 30, 2024. This campaign targets 348,680 children aged 11 to 59 months, including 17,598 with zero doses in the municipalities most affected by Diphtheria and those with zero doses and undervaccinated at 1st quarter of 2024.
