Armor traps

The gangs, retreating into their territory, multiply the traps serving as ambushes. Observers report that the gangs dig pits in the roads which they cover with planks before installing paving stones. These traps aim to immobilize and destroy armored vehicles.

Escapee arrested at PAP airport

Friday June 14, 2024, agents of the National Central Bureau-Interpol arrested Joseph Ludy, an escapee from the National Penitentiary, at Toussaint Louverture International Airport when he was preparing to leave the country on board a flight to the United States. He was actively wanted for escape, assassination, rape and criminal conspiracy.

O.G 2024 : 2 Haitians already confirmed

The Haitian delegation which will be present at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is starting to take shape. Strengthening scientific collaboration

Ambassador Gandy Thomas Representative of the Permanent Mission of Haiti to the Organization of American States (OAS) accompanied by collaborators, Sherlo Antoine and Jean Bernard Henry, had a working meeting this week with Antonio Campuzano Rosales, Secretary General from the Pan American Institute of Geography and History (IPGH). During this meeting, Ambassador Thomas expressed a clear interest in strengthening Haiti's participation in the IPGH and collaboration with this illustrious international scientific organization.

1.2 million children need education in emergencies

In 2024, the Education Cluster estimates that 1,188,455 girls and boys aged 3 to 17 will need education in emergencies (ESU) and nearly 2,615 teachers. Also, 774,196 children (aged 3 to 17 years; 51% girls) and 1,700 teachers are targeted in the areas most affected by the crisis or facing displacement and high levels of food insecurity.
