Haiti - Politic : Prime Minister Conille chaired an important meeting on security

On the morning of Saturday June 22, 2024, the Prime Minister, Garry Conille, chaired his first meeting of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) in which Me Carlos Hercule, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Rameau Normil the new acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), as well as the Chief Inspector General Fritz Saint Fort.

Among the main points that were discussed: measures to curb the phenomenon of insecurity; banditry and crime; the restoration of a climate of peace and stability; strategies for regaining control of the entire national territory with a view to the free movement of people and goods, particularly in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince.

“Today, I had a major meeting with the members of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN). We discussed the insecurity that is destroying our society. I would like to announce that the Government will take several urgent measures to send a clear signal to provide a response to this security crisis. Peace and stability must prevail throughout the country," Garry Conille
