FAd’H, recruits 1,500 soldiers

According to General Lessage Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Haiti plan to gradually recruit 1,500 soldiers in groups of 200 or 300 (men and women) by the end of the fiscal year (September 30, 2024). Currently the FAd’H strength is around a thousand men.

"J-2" 9th grade exams (Ns4)

All arrangements have been made for the smooth running of the official exams for the new secondary 4 (NS 4) which will be held from August 5 to 8. 121,006 candidates will participate in these events throughout the country, according to the Ministry

2024 Olympics Swimming : 50m freestyle, Mayah Chouloute eliminated

Saturday morning at Paris La Défense Arena, young swimmer Mayah Chouloute (14 years old) participated in the 50-meter freestyle event. Mayah Chouloute in series 3 achieved the 2nd best time in her series with 29.78 seconds. Unfortunately with this time she ranked 59th out of 79, with a time difference of 5.93 seconds. The best time was achieved by the Swedish Sarah Sjoestrom, with 23.85 seconds, who also holds the world record with 23.61 seconds. Taekwondo : 2nd gold medal for Ava Lee

Thursday, August 1st in less than eight days Ava Lee, the taekwondo megastar won a second gold medal at the National Amateur Championship (AAU), she triumphed against the number one taekwondo player of the United States team, winning the victory with a score of 2-0.

CNE Issues

On August 1st, 2024, Raphaël Hosty, the Minister of Public Works and his Cabinet met with Kineton Louis, Director General of the National Equipment Center (CNE) to discuss the institution's pressing issues. Among the topics discussed : employee salary arrears and inadequate maintenance of equipment. Measures were promised to address both issues. An institutional assessment is also planned to identify lasting solutions.

Kenyans do public relations with the teople

On August 1st, 2024, Godfrey Otunge, the Commander of the Multinational Security Support Mission, led the Kenyan contingent on a foot patrol along Toussaint Louverture Road in Port-au-Prince. They engaged with the population to assure them of their commitment to peace and security in Haiti.
