Recovery of ill-gotten assets

By virtue of its pre-legislative competence, the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) continues to work to strengthen the Haitian anti-corruption regulatory system. It should be recalled that after joining the GlobE Network, Haiti must have legal tools in order to benefit as much as possible from international cooperation. On this basis, an major consultation workshop on the development of a special draft law dedicated to the recovery of ill-gotten assets will be held on August 13 and 14 with the participation of all stakeholders in the national integrity system.

Taiwan : solar-powered water pumping system

Action plan of the Ministry of Tourism

James Monazard, the Minister of Tourism accompanied by his Chief of Staff, John Herrick Dessources and the Director General of the Ministry, Sinedie Saintil Dupuy chaired his second Board of Directors in the conference room of the Ministry. During this meeting, the Action Plan to be implemented over the coming months by the Ministry was presented to the Directors and Executives of the Ministry. Monazard recalled the five areas of action of the Ministry for the coming months :

1. Planning the revitalization and development of the tourism economy;

2. Improving the attractiveness of tourist destinations;

3. Improving the quality of private services;

4. Strengthening synergy in the tourism sector;

5. Improving the supply of public services in the tourism sector.

Special Status for Customs Officers

On Friday, August 9, 2024, the General Directorate of Haitian Customs met with the Central Directors of Customs Offices around Circular 001 of the Prime Minister, Gary Conille, and the preliminary draft of the Special Status for Customs Officers.

UN : Strengthening infrastructure in Haiti

The Minister of Public Works, Eng. Raphaël Hosty, and his Cabinet met with Ms. Dabagai Dabagai, Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS - Haiti). They discussed, among other things, the rehabilitation of roads and the installation of energy in hospitals to strengthen infrastructure in Haiti.
