Massacre at Carrefour and Gressier (investigation)

No less than 66 people, including 4 police officers and 15 women, were killed or missing at Carrefour and Gressier from January to July 2024, reveals a report of the National Human Rights Defense Network (RNDDH) showing 46 women and Girls victims of collective rape during this same period, dozens of people injured and hundreds of looted or vandalized houses.

Basketball final of the 5x5 tournament

The Haitian Basketball Federation (FHB), as part of the male 5x5 U-20 tournament which has taken place since June 23 at the Sainte-Claire Park, in Delmas 33, announces the final on Sunday August 18, 2024, which will oppose two unbeaten teams : Christ-Roi (group A) winner in the semi-finals against Max Motivation [68-37] and the Power Vikings (group B) winner in the semi-finals against Fantastik [65-60].

New clashes in Solino

Thursday, August 15, new clashes broke out between members of the "VIV ANTANM" gang alliance and residents of the Solino district. Dead and injured were reported in both camps, no official assessment. Jeff, a police officer in the area who was fighting the bandits was killed.

The toll stations are multiplying

Between Portal Léogâne and Gressier (Route des Rails and RN#2) there are no less than 12 toll stations managed by bandits on approximately 22km : 1st avenue Bolosse, Martissant, Fontamara 27 and 43, Macaco, Diquini 63 near the Entrance to the Town Hall of Carrefour, near the Cemetery of Carrefour, Mariani, Merger, near the Adventist Church, in front of the School of Jesus in Merger, Lambi and Colombier 9, commune of Gressier.

Miss World : finalists for represented Haiti (list)
