New Consul of Haiti in Orlando

The Consulate of Haiti in Orlando informs the Haitian Community that Nedgie Phanord Jean Baptiste is the new Consul and that she is open to all suggestions for a better policy of proximity with the Haitian Community.

CEP Representatives : Deadline

The Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) informs that it continues to work tirelessly and that the announced deadline of August 28, 2024, to complete the process of designating the persons to be part of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) will be respected. The CPT takes note of the delay observed in the process of the formation of the CEP caused by disputes made by certain organizations of the same sector and on the other hand, the non-compliance by others with the terms of reference sent to them. The CPT grants sectors that have not yet done so an additional period ending on Monday, August 26, 2024 to notify it of the choice of their representative.

New Ambassador of France

On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the Embassy of Haiti in France had the pleasure of hosting the courtesy visit of the new Ambassador of France appointed to Haiti, Antoine Michon. On this occasion, Chargé d'Affaires Volcy and Ambassador Michon discussed in particular the strengthening of bilateral relations, the priorities of the Haitian Government, France's support for the Haitian National Police, the issue of the deployment and financing of the Multinational Mission for Security Support in Haiti, as well as the consolidation of academic cooperation between the two countries.

PM's tour in the North

Prime Minister Garry Conille, accompanied by members of the diplomatic corps, will begin a tour of the North department, starting this Thursday, August 22 until August 24. This tour reflects the Government's efforts to boost regional development and strengthen relations with local stakeholders. Conille plans to meet with regional officials and economic stakeholders to discuss priority areas for the North department.

Arrest of the alleged murderer of 3 young missionaries

Basketball : The Christ-Roi team wins the Super 8 tournament

The Haitian Basketball Federation successfully held its tournament called Super 8, organized during this month of August in Delmas 33 at Parc Sainte Clair for young people under 20. Team Christ-Roi won the trophy by defeating Power Vikings (73-52) in a one-sided final.
