Chancellor Dominique Dupuy, who has been at the helm of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since June 12, 2024, takes a positive look back at her first 100 days, during which she has instilled a dynamic of change, marked by bold reforms and an unwavering commitment to gender equality and transparency.

Driven by a deep and sincere passion for Haiti, from her first days, she made the promotion of women in the Haitian chancellery a priority, appointing 33 women to positions of responsibility, a historic step forward welcomed by the entire staff of the Ministry.

Dominique Dupuy, with her experience as Haiti's Ambassador to UNESCO, was able to mobilize a solid team around six draft orders and preliminary draft decrees, aimed at reforming Haitian diplomacy in a progressive and irreversible manner. Under her leadership, measures have been taken to combat corruption, with ongoing investigations by the Court of Auditors and the ULCC. She has ordered heads of diplomatic and consular missions to declare their income and assets, in accordance with the law of February 12, 2008, a decision that aims to strengthen transparency within our diplomacy. At the same time, she has brought Haiti's voice to the international stage, joining the CARICOM Reparations Commission and advocating for reparations related to colonialism and slavery.

She has also contributed to strengthening bilateral relations between Haiti and Brazil. She has signed an agreement to improve diplomatic training, notably with the Diplomatic School of Spain and a pilot program aimed at promoting the integration of qualified and competent Haitian youth into diplomacy is about to start.

Driven by the ambition to build a society connected to its history, Dominique Dupuy continues to undertake important initiatives, including the repatriation of the Haitian act of independence, which is currently in the National Archives in London.

For the coming months, the Chancellor remains determined to continue on this path, aware that each step forward is a victory for Haiti and its international influence.
