Today, the University Pastoral of Port-au-Prince will open the university restaurant of the "Centre Monseigneur Joseph Serge Miot". Earlier this week the organization stated in a note that it regrets to see hundreds of students who rush under tents in order to take their meals of the day.

Rev. Frantzy Petit-Homme, Director of University Pastoral of the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince states that "The center aims to provide to the university students the things they lack in order to study with dignity. They will be received in the centre every day for, among other, conduct research, feeding at fixed prices [50 gourds for the moment], participate in or attend conferences and read."

The center is located in front of the National Institute of Management and International Studies (INAGHEI), and the inauguration will take place at noon.
