PNH Denial

The Haitian National Police (PNH) formally denies rumors circulating on social media that police officers were victims during operations in Savien and that an armored vehicle was set on fire by bandits. The PNH urges the population not to be intimidated by rumors and attempts at diversion by gangs.

Jamaica repatriates 20 illegal Haitians

The Jamaican Coast Guard repatriated earlier this week to the city of Les Cayes 20 Haitians in an irregular migratory situation (11 men, 5 women and 4 children) intercepted aboard a makeshift boat led by a Jamaican from the commune of Anse-d'Ainault, in Grand'Anse.

Conditional stay and after ?

The humanitarian program of conditional stay has always been and remains a two-year program. The Program continues to operate and authorize the entry of 30,000 beneficiaries per month (from the 4 targeted countries) as part of the in-depth examination process of applications. Beneficiaries who are already in the United States can apply for certain immigration measures for which they could be eligible to remain in the USA, otherwise they will have to leave the country at the end of the 2 years authorized. Pont-Sondé Massacre : Canada Condemns

Installation of the Executive Secretary of CIAT

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Office, Me Camille Junior Edouard, accompanied by Nesmy Manigat, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, proceeded with the installation of the former Minister of Tourism as Executive Secretary of the Interministerial Committee for Regional Planning (CIAT). This committee's mission is to define the Government's policy on regional planning, protection and management of watersheds, water management, sanitation, urban planning and equipment.
