New attack on Solino

On Saturday, after a week of clashes with the police in the Solino neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, members of the gang coalition, "Viv Ansanm", attacked once again, setting fire to several houses. Law enforcement officers exchanged fire with the bandits, near the Solino police base. No reports are available.

The ICRC alongside the Ministry of Health

Reshuffle : Voltaire asks too much, the PM refuses

On Friday, October 25, 2024, Leslie Voltaire, the President pro tempore of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), met with Prime Minister Garry Conille at the Villa d'Accueil. The issue of the cabinet reshuffle was discussed during this meeting. Voltaire requested the reshuffle of 7 ministries : Foreign Affairs, Haitians living abroad, Justice, Planning, Defense, Public Health and Interior" which Garry Conille refused.

Football : FIFA Ranking October

In the monthly FIFA ranking published on October 24, 2024, Haiti maintains its position at 86th place in the world with 1,283.67 points (+5.11 points). The situation is similar at the regional level, where Haiti maintains its 9th place in the ranking of the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF).
