OPC premises vandalized The Office for the Protection of Citizens (OPC) informs that the premises housing its mediation and legal popularization office located at Delmas 33, Street Chardonnière was vandalized by unknown persons early in the evening of Sunday, November 17, 2024. The OPC is awaiting the report of a Justice of the Peace in order to assess the damage. Where are the 20,000 displaced persons located ? Following the armed violence that has occurred since November 11 in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince. A total of 19,866 people have been displaced due to these attacks, including 62% to areas located in the commune of Port-au-Prince, 29% to that of Delmas and 7% to Pétion-ville. 17,377 (87%) of the displaced persons took refuge in 15 camps, including 3 that already existed before these incidents and 12 that were created for the needs. In addition, 17 other sites were emptied following the armed violence.
