50 million for Voodoo : Wednesday October 28, 2026, Raina Forbin, the Minister of Religion, during a meeting with leaders of the voodoo sector in Port-au-Prince announced a budgetary allocation (for the first time) of 50 million gourdes to the voodoo sector. This allocation was validated by the Council of Ministers and is included in the state budget adopted on September 30, 2026. The objective is to support initiatives of collective interest for the benefit of the voodoo sector, placing it on an equal footing with other religious faiths recognized in Haiti.
