On June 5, 2025, the Haitian National Police announced that they had regained control of several buildings occupied by the "Viv Ansanm" gang in Pacot, Port-au-Prince. The injured were rushed to José María Cabral y Báez Hospital for specialized medical care. Miragoâne : Arrest of a Fake Doctor The Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ-Nipppes) arrested Édouard Hilaire at a private clinic in "Dupack," the first communal section of Miragoâne. Édouard Hilaire, posing as a doctor, operated clandestinely in this clinic, taking advantage of the opportunity to perform abortions on several women, including minors. DGI : Revenues Up On the occasion of its 101st anniversary, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) held a thanksgiving mass at its central office on Christophe Avenue on Friday, June 6. Furthermore, the DGI announced that it had already collected more than 51 billion gourdes for the current fiscal year, 7 billion more than during the same period last year, despite work stoppages due to insecurity and the employee strike. PAP : Martin Luther King Avenue rehabilitation underway The Port-au-Prince City Hall, through its Municipal Engineering Department, has launched rehabilitation work on the roadway and sidewalks of Martin Luther King Avenue. ÉcoGénie South : Périgny National School Wins the Championship With an impressive score of 133 to 111, Périgny National School won the title of ÉcoGénie 2025 South Departmental Champion, defeating Notre-Dame d'Haïti National School in Collette.
