CFPH Canado Technique : 250 New Technicians Graduated

On Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, the graduation ceremony took place at the Haiti Canado Technique Vocational Training Center (CFPH) for 250 technicians from the Kaizen class, a Japanese word meaning "continuous improvement", who graduated after more than 1,700 hours of training in difficult conditions, particularly due to insecurity in the metropolitan area. This class includes technicians in electromechanics, telecommunications, computer network technology, and industrial maintenance mechanics.

Gang Suppression Force

As a member of the Standing Group of Partners (SGP), the United States welcomes the adoption on September 30 of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2793, which transformed the current Multinational Mission in Haiti into the Gang Suppression Force (GSF) and extended the force's Chapter VII authorization without interruption. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-45891-haiti-flash-the-security-council-has-voted-for-the-new-gang-repression-force.html The SGP begins its work to expand the force. With this in mind, we look forward to collaborating with the Permanent Partners Group to ensure that the FRG reaches its full potential and expands its scope of action in partnership with the United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNHOH), which will provide, among other things, equipment, food, fuel, infrastructure, air and maritime resources, funded by assessed contributions from UN member States.

Taiwan's 114th National Day

On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, Taiwan (Republic of China) celebrated its 114th National Day in Haiti. Laurent Saint-Cyr, President pro tempore and Coordinator of the Transitional Council (CPT), was present, along with five other members of the Council, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, the President of the Court of Cassation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and members of the government, the private sector, NGOs, and civil society. Ambassador Cheng-hao Hu reiterated Taiwan's firm commitment to strengthening cooperative relations with Haiti and expressed the hope that the friendship between the two countries would continue.

Chicago : Tribute to Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable

The Consulate General of Haiti in Chicago was honored to respond to the invitation of the Honorable Brandon Johnson, Mayor of the City of Chicago, to pay tribute to the legacy of Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable, illustrious founder of the City of Chicago. By honoring his memory, the City of Chicago celebrated not only a pioneer, but also a builder of alliances between peoples. Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable symbolizes Haiti's contribution to the world through men and women who, through their audacity, left an incredible mark on the history of humanity. May the legacy of Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable inspire all Haitians here and abroad.

Logo competition, clarifications from the MPCE:

However, this does not automatically mean that the winning logo corresponds to the Ministry's exact needs or that it will be officially adopted by the Ministry. Indeed, in accordance with Article 8 of the competition rules, the MPCE reserves the right to make changes to the selected design or to adopt another one. The official adoption of the Ministry's new logo will be announced at a later date.
