According to the deputy Danton Léger [constituency of Léogâne] "the Commission of investigation and monitoringfollow up of the lower house on the issue of the arrest of Deputy Bélizaire, did not complete its work on Tuesday, January 17 as planned. The date of completion of the work of the Commission was therefore been extended."

Several reasons would be responsible for this delay whose the adjournment of the hearing of the Prime Minister, Dr. Garry Conille, Tuesday, due to confusion about the date of its hearing, that would have been modified at the last moment and the hearing of other political figures that the Senate Commission had not heard and that the Commission of the Lower House wants to hear.

The first Minister of Haiti, who had moved for nothing, Tuesday in Parliament, told journalists present "I have no new information to communicate to the deputies except those I have already publicly given to the senate special Commission. I am not involved directly or indirectly in the arrest of Deputy Bélizaire."

The Deputy Danton insisted that "The Commission of the Chamber of Deputies wants to be loyal [...] If the investigation reveals that there are personalities who are closely involved in the arrest of Arnel Bélizaire, whatever their status, the Commission's conclusions, will ask that these individuals are prosecuted."
