Kenscoff : Vladimir Paraison on the Ground

Vladimir Paraison, the Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), conducted an inspection and evaluation visit to the commune of Kenscoff, specifically to the Nan Gode Viard 1 and 2 areas. This visit was part of the operational supervision and evaluation of the security measures in place. In these areas, several specialized PNH units are deployed to conduct operations against armed criminal groups that target the civilian population. The Commander-in-Chief met with personnel involved in the operations, assessed the situation, and provided the necessary guidance to strengthen PNH actions, with the aim of protecting the lives and property of the population.

Arms Trafficker Arrested

On Saturday, September 19, in Cap-Haitien, during a police operation in the North Department, law enforcement arrested Claudin Sainvilus, an arms trafficker with ties to criminal gangs, at the Cap-Haitien Airport. At the time of his arrest, officers seized a significant quantity of illicit materials.

Prime Minister Meets with Diaspora in New York

On Monday, September 20, 2026, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé met with the Haitian community in New York and reaffirmed that security remains the top priority for the government and the population. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to strengthen national forces, particularly through the P4000 program for the National Police, as well as the goal of increasing the army's strength to 15,000 soldiers within the next three years. Southeast : Strengthening Security Measures

As part of the Haitian National Police's (PNH) efforts to restore security in various regions of the country, Divisional Commissioner Appolos Villette, Departmental Director for the Southeast, issued instructions to all heads of police stations and substations to strengthen security measures in the areas under their jurisdiction. These instructions aim to establish more checkpoints, increase patrols, and enhance police presence on the ground, in order to better monitor public spaces and combat banditry in various municipalities of the department.

Accessibility Assessments in Public and Private Buildings

As part of capacity building for the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH), the institution's employees underwent two months of in-depth training in universal accessibility. The participants, divided into four groups, presented their accessibility assessments of BSEIPH spaces. These presentations were evaluated by the Secretary of State, Mr. Génard Joseph, who commended the quality of the work and encouraged the continuation of this initiative. This marks a decisive step: BSEIPH employees will now be tasked with conducting accessibility assessments in public and private buildings throughout the country so that inclusion becomes a concrete reality in every department of Haiti.
