Thursday the Lower Chamber, in session, after the submission of the finalreport of 27 pages, of the Special Commission of Inquiry on the case Arnel Bélizaire, decided to close the case for the moment...

Following the intervention of a group of parliamentarians, who want to prevent the country is sinking deeper into crisis and become ungovernable, insisting on the fact that the moment was not conducive to to indict the Head of the State, whose the responsibility is called into question in the report of the Commission, a resolution was proposed by the Deputy Stevenson Timoléon [Petit-Goâve].

In this resolution, "the lower house renounces, on behalf of the interests of the Nation, to initiate the impeachment process of Michel Martelly" 48 deputies on the 54 present voted for the resolution.

However, if the case Bélizaire "seems closed" it does not seem to be definitely, because in the resolution passed, the Chamber of Deputies reserves indeed, "the right to take measures timely" against the Head of State... A Season III is therefore possible, in this endless saga that has plagued the government since already more than 5 months...
