Haiti - Politic : The President Martelly welcomes the decision of the Senate

Mr. Lucien Jura, Spokesman of the Presidency, expressed, this Wednesday in a press conference, he satisfaction of the President Martelly, following the favorable vote (19 votes in favor, 3 against and 1 abstention) granted on Tuesday April 10 in the evening by the Senate to the Prime Minister-designate, Mr. Laurent Lamothe, also Foreign Minister. To this end, the Head of State sends its warmest congratulations to the honorable Senators and took the opportunity to ask the Deputies of the 49th Legislature to go in the same direction than their colleagues of Senate for the good of the country. President Martelly highly wishes that a new Government is established in a short time to cope with the challenges to which is confronted the Haitian people.
