Haiti - Tourism : Result of the Logo Contest for the promotion of tourism in Haiti

Following the contest launched March 10, 2012, the Ministry of Tourism has selected a new logo and new slogan to be used in a communication campaign to promote Haiti as a tourist destination and put the country on the regional and global map of tourism. As announced, the Ministry has made his choice among the top 50 logos and 50 slogans [among the 400 proposals received] who received the most votes on the Internet.

The final choice for the logo was put on the logo "choublak" of Xavier Delatour representing: the word "Haiti" decorated with a hibiscus flower and a sun. This logo evokes the charm of the nature and the profound beauty of the country and of its landscape and symbolizes and in a radiant way show the new positive image that wants to highlight the Ministry of tourism of Haiti.

The slogan that was chosen is "Experience It ! "[Shortened version of the original proposal that was" Experience it yourself! "of Diana Pierre-Louis. This slogan perfectly summarizes the experience powerful and intense often experienced by visitors who discover Haiti for the first time. It is a beautiful invitation to discover by yourself the myriad of wealth of the country and the intense sensations that it provide. uring communication campaigns aimed at Francophone communities, Creole, and Hispanics, that slogan will be translated into French as "L'expérience !", in Creol by "Se la pou'w la" and in Spanish by "La experiencia".

This logo and slogan, will now be developed in a graphic chart for the production of various visual aids and promotional items that will be available from May for the promotion of tourism in Haiti.

The Tourism Ministry reiterates its heartfelt thanks to all the contestants, and all those who voted and shared their views on the Internet.
