The President Michel Martelly, sends its warmest congratulations to the Chamber of Deputies who, as the Senate of the Republic last week, granted, on the evening of Monday, May 14, its favorable vote [70 votes in favor, 6 against and 3 abstentions] to the Statement of General Policy of Prime Minister, Mr. Salvador Laurent Lamothe, a vote that coincided with the first anniversary of the inauguration of the Head of State.

President Martelly, remains convinced that the act of the Assembly of Deputies expresses the will of Parliament to support the Executive in its struggle to bring change and a better life for the Haitian population. The President Martelly calls on all other sectors of the national life to contribute to the recovery of Haiti.

Reaffirming once again its confidence in his Prime Minister, the President of the Republic believes that the country's development inevitably requires unity and understanding between all branches of government and is committed, in the sense to play its full role.
