Haiti - Diplomacy : President Martelly will travel to Japan

The Haitian President Michel Martelly and his wife Sophia Marelly, will be in Japan from Monday 27 August to Thursday 30 August. During these 4 working days, the Head of State of Haiti will meet, among others, with the Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. President Martelly will be the first incumbent President of the Republic of Haiti to visit Japan. It is expected that his visit will further strengthen the bilateral relations between Japan and the Republic of Haiti, as part of the reconstruction process of Haiti.
