Haiti - Social : The Government provides assistance to the people of Côte-de-fer

The President Michel Martelly, sent on Saturday 1st September, a delegation in the town of Côte-de-Fer, to assess the damage caused by the torrential rains, occurred on 30 and 31 August.

In addition to hundreds of food kits, victims received seeds of spinach and melon, 30 wheelbarrows, 67 shovels and 216 hoes. In addition, 660 phones were distributed to 660 mothers, that will be able, from the Program "Ti Manman Chérie", receive a subsidies of 500 gourdes per month during the next six months.

The members of the delegation made ​​a tour of the town, to properly take into account the extent of losses suffered by the residents and provide the intervention of the central government.
